I have tried to simplify the term here, to the best of my abilities. It is not a difficult task to achieve.\u00a0\u00a0Your brain is more efficient in recognizing the resources which are of help to you.<\/p>\n<p>It starts building up a law that will make you work in ways that get you closer to the people and things necessary for you to move up the ladder of growth.<\/p>\n<h4>1. \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The impact your surroundings have are more than you can imagine<\/h4>\n<p>If you are telling me you haven\u2019t, you are definitely lying. There is no person who has, even for once,\u00a0<em>not<\/em>\u00a0blamed their environment for something which has gone wrong, says<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Self-serving_bias\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0this article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, your surrounding deserves more credit because it influences and directs your behavior towards the attainment of your goals.<\/p>\n<h4>2. \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Practice Public Accountability for your goals<\/h4>\n<p>We tend to think when our parents compared us to the neighbors\u2019 kids, it was pressure; when we competed in a race, it was pressure and there was always pressure to do good in the society we live in, and it is not a lie. I feel you.<\/p>\n<p>But, have you ever thought what if this pressure, which stresses us out, could become the\u00a0cause of motivation? \u00a0If the dose is taken in the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.apa.org\/research\/action\/speaking-of-psychology\/peer-pressure.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0right amount<\/a>, yes.<\/p>\n<h4>3. \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Program your brain by visualizing your desired outcome.<\/h4>\n<p>Our dreams became limited to the visions our subconscious made after we dozed off.<\/p>\n<p>But, bring those days of daydreaming back.\u00a0This article right<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.in\/entry\/visualization-goals_b_878424\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0says that visualizing ourselves getting what we dream of getting, will actually bring us steps closer to actually achieving them in reality!<\/p>\n<h4>4. \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Make it a point to be generous and donate<\/h4>\n<p>According<a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/yec\/2013\/01\/31\/already-cheating-on-your-resolutions-try-an-anti-charity-system\/#317728897562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> to Forbes\u2019<\/a> article, an effective way to stay motivated is to give your earnings away. Not to the needy, but to the charity which you would otherwise do anything to\u00a0<strong><em>not<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>donate a penny.<\/p>\n<p><em>How does it help you? Well, the idea is plain and simple.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Donating to these charities will motivate you to stick to your goals and avoid giving away your earnings. It is like punishing yourself for going astray.<\/p>\n<h4>5. \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Stick around longer on the journey to your goal with visual cues.<\/h4>\n<p>According to many studies like<a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/ftp\/arxiv\/papers\/1305\/1305.6360.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0this<\/a>, there has been plenty of proof to suggest a positive correlation between staying motivated and the impact of visual cues.<\/p>\n<p><em>Why do visual cues work?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>They work because they show us regular updates on our behaviors. For example, if you are planning to learn to play the guitar. Making a chart to track your progress will motivate you more. Stuffs like these attract our attention and helps us keep our focus. It helps our neurons make the necessary connections with the task at hand.<\/p>\n<h4>6. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Get a friend along to share your journey<\/h4>\n<p>Although workout buddy has been populated\u00a0to achieve fitness goals, the strategy is effective for other goals as well.<\/p>\n<p>It was found in a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/SB10001424052748704314904575250352409843386\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0study<\/a> that was focused on healthy lifestyles, that if people were prompted even by an electronic reminder to go to the gym, the likelihood of the very same people to the place increases.<\/p>\n<p>If an electronic call or message could elicit such a response in one\u2019s behavior and motivate them, imagine what a LIVING person could do, especially if you like the person!<\/p>\n<h4>7. \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Let go of your goals. Create Systems.<\/h4>\n<p>Consider this: If you knew the benefits of reading every day, then don\u2019t you think you would be more inclined to read every day?<\/p>\n<p>Research says that people who are informed about something are more likely to invest their time in it. They are more willing as compared to those who set up a target without deeper investigation.<\/p>\n<p>If you have read this much, you know are well aware of the 7 unconventional ways of keeping yourself motivated.
